Tent Pitching
There are many things to consider when pitching a tent. But there are also different steps to take before going away.
- If you buy a tent with a built in groundsheet it is worth geting a stonesheet as well.
- Before going away try to put the tent up in the back garden so that you know how it goes up, also to make sure you have everything you need.
- Check for sharp objects on the ground that could penetrate the groundsheet.
- If on a hill make sure the door is facing down and not up so that the water if it rains doesn't flow inside the tent.
- Make sure all guylines are in the correct positions so that if there is rough weather the tent will stay up.
Following all these simple steps will hopefully ensure that your tent will do what it was made to do. Keep you safe and dry.
